About Johanna
Johanna is a traveler;she enjoys meeting new people, exploring cultures and learning all there is to know about local cuisine. The photos below are some images of her travels. The main photograph in the heading was taken in downtown Kelowna, British Columbia. The book cover was taken by graphic artist Albert Dekker and was taken in the winter of 2011 in Amsterdam. The skating metaphor has significance for the novella: Adrienne, who is a risk taker and a daredevil, indeed skates on thin ice, literally and figuratively; she occasionally falls through it as well. Castle Twickel is located in Delden, in the Netherlands where Johanna grew up. Other locations shown: Clearwater Idaho in USA, Ajijic in Mexico, Gabriola Island in British Columbia. She has one daughter who is a photographer.
